X Dynamic Soul. The Sporting Character of High-Performance Merino Yarns.

X Dynamic Soul is a range of high-performance merino yarns developed for activewear. The collection needed a film that could speak confidently to the sports world, giving a technical material the presence and character of a brand.

fffilms.it built the film around physical effort and changing conditions. Cold, altitude and training gave the collection a connection to the lived experience of sport.

Filming began on the glacier of Monte Bianco at 3,500 metres. Skiing and walking across snow gave the opening its physical intensity. The landscape was more than a setting: altitude, weather and difficult terrain shaped how people moved through it.

The film descended into warmer landscapes, following mountain trails and rivers before moving into training and climbing. Mountain biking brought speed; quieter scenes beside the water allowed a different kind of movement. The range of activities gave the collection a context beyond a single sport.

The edit connected these environments through physical effort. Breath and contact with the ground helped carry the transitions, keeping the film close to the person inside each activity rather than treating the locations as a succession of spectacular views.

For X Dynamic Soul, this provided something technical specifications alone could not: a way into the experience behind the product. The collection could be introduced through situations familiar to the people designing garments for those conditions.

At ISPO Munich, the film played within the exhibition space designed by rack.agency. Alongside the yarns, its changing landscapes and human movement brought the world of activewear into the presentation.

The film gave X Dynamic Soul the visual presence of a sports brand. It offered a way to introduce the yarns through the activities they were developed for, with a character that went beyond their technical description.
