Feel the X Attitude. Wool and cashmere transformed into a living visual environment.
This project was conceived as a pure visual installation. Not a film about products, but a space built from movement, light, and material presence.
Yarns become image. Image becomes atmosphere.
Created for SpinExpo Shanghai, Feel the X Attitude redefined how wool and cashmere could be experienced inside an exhibition environment. The objective was not to explain materials, but to let them live, move, and breathe inside space.
The installation shifted attention from information to sensation.
The visual content was developed entirely from filmed yarn patterns. Slow motion, macro perspectives, and layered depth transformed fibers into abstract, almost living forms.
To achieve this, physical sets were built specifically for filming, allowing precise control of light, movement, and texture.
The color palette remained warm and natural. Beige tones, soft neutrals, and controlled contrast created a calm visual field that felt organic and refined.
Rather than sharp transitions, the imagery evolved slowly, reinforcing a sense of continuity and presence.
The booth itself became part of the narrative. An organic frame structured the space, with walls made from different fabrics that functioned both as architecture and as a material catalogue.
Large-scale macro photographs of yarns were printed on semi-transparent textiles, adding depth and layering to the environment.
Lighting was soft and warm, designed to interact with both moving image and physical materials. The rhythm of the visuals was slow and restrained, closer to a gallery installation than to a traditional trade fair presentation.
The result was an immersive environment that invited visitors to stay, observe, and feel.
The installation immediately stood out within the fair. Its approach attracted attention, generated conversation, and influenced how exhibitors and visitors perceived visual communication in the space.
For many, it marked a shift away from conventional presentation toward a more experiential, image-driven language.
In addition to SpinExpo Shanghai, Feel the X Attitude was presented in Florence during Pitti through an independent installation located outside the fairgrounds, aligned with the international calendar of the event.
The octagonal installation was built inside the Palazzina Reale, with a sequence leading directly into a lemon garden set within an adjacent hall. A continuous screen followed the perimeter of the installation, creating a circular visual flow that fully immersed visitors in the soft, layered world of wool and cashmere.
The installation transformed the environment into a quiet, enveloping experience, where image, material, and space merged into a single atmospheric gesture.
Feel the X Attitude demonstrates how visual installations can reshape perception at scale. By focusing on material behavior, atmosphere, and spatial coherence, the project transformed wool and cashmere into an emotional and memorable experience.
Across both SpinExpo Shanghai and Pitti Firenze, the installation shifted expectations, moving exhibition communication toward a more immersive, image-driven language.
